Albums

Just a few pics from some parent albums that just came in for one of my brides. :) I love these little albums. They are so cute! These are 5x5 flush mount albums from ForBeyon that I design with my brides. Forbeyon's service and products are impeccable. I was in their studio yesterday to pick these up and asked them, 'just how long do you expect an album to last'? He told me, if the album has proper care, there is no reason it shouldn't last for a 100 years or more! Are you kidding me? That means... my children... my grand children and probably my great grand children could flip through these pages someday. I fell in love with photography all over again! ;)

Enjoy, Jen

A new line...

Coming soon... a new site!!! I am so excited! I have been working on a new site dedicated just to high school seniors. I absolutely love senior shoots! So fun! Seriously, they have the cutest clothes, hairstyles, personalities and are so full of life and motivation! I still feel like I am a senior, just ten years or so older. Perhaps wiser? Hummmmm, not sure ;) Wow! Ten years or so... I have a husband and kids! I'm old! ;)

I am so excited, I plan to be ready to launch my new site by the end of summer 09. Stay tuned...

Here is just one of my senior models in the works... Sharon, your the bomb! ;)

A perfect lens...

My best investment produces this... I love this lens!

If there is anything you might be wondering to buy for your camera equipment list... get a good lens or two or three! When I purchased my equipment, I took advice from my good friend and fellow photographer in Vegas. I struggled with whether to use Nikon or Canon, and after much research I decided on Nikon. Then, we looked at lenses. One lens he told me to buy was a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 and when I looked at the 1600.00+ price, I gulped and said... are you sure?? Can't I just wait and get that later? I have never regretted that purchase and shoot after shoot I am able to produce my style and love the effect especially paired with the evening sun. It can create that dreamy - creamy glow that I crave to find! Jenn and Steven you are too good to be true!

I have soooo many more pics from this e-session to post. Jenn you are so beautiful! Can't wait to show you off more! ;)

Enjoy, Jen

First Look Option

To any bride:

I always talk to my brides about a first look ceremony. Tradition has the bride be seen by her future husband for the first time while walking down the isle. Couples across the country are setting a new stage to seeing each other for the first time and it is so romantic, and so special and makes for beautiful photography moments. I absolutely recommend it! I love capturing a groom's face as he sees his bride for the first time in a quiet little spot. Usually there is a tear or two or a simple word of prayer and a quiet moment before they say forever. I come across other photographers who also stage the same first look option. Here is one of my favs... http://www.jasminestarblog.com/. Jasmine is an artist, period.

Here are a few from a first look ceremony, outside with one of my beautiful brides. Kaimi and Curt both had a few tears.

Kaimi showed Curt all the details of her dress, veil, make-up, hair, everything.

Then we headed to a shaded area for a note exchange. Both of them had written a special note to each other for the wedding day. More tears and lots of laughter.

My 2nd Photographer's angle...

Kaimi, there aren't words to describe how beautiful you are!
